The Osbourne matriarch decides to take a hiatus for at least a month for suffering from 'mental and physical fatigue.'

AceShowbiz - Sharon Osbourne is taking a break from "The Talk". She announces the hiatus after she "collapsed from mental and physical fatigue" at her Los Angeles home last Friday night upon returning from a busy trip to New York and Toronto.

According to her doctors, Sharon is suffering from "extreme exhaustion." They also believe that the 62-year-old host returned to work too soon and didn't have time to fully recuperate after she was hospitalized earlier this year for pneumonia.

"Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events," her rep says. "Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support."

Sharon Osbourne battled colorectal cancer in 2002 and had a double mastectomy three years ago. Back in March, Kelly Osbourne stepped in as a guest co-host on "The Talk" to replace her mother who came down with pneumonia following hernia surgery.

"[She] didn't expect it to be as painful, and then she got pneumonia, so please ... send her your well wishes because she really, really is over being sick," Kelly explained back then.

Aside from co-hosting the CBS talk show, Sharon also stars in a new MTV animated comedy show "Fancy Bastards" along with her daughter who left E!'s "Fashion Police" earlier this year.
