Emma Stone may have separated from her ex-boyfriend Andrew Garfield, but she seemingly still adores the English actor. During a recent chat with Diane Keaton for Interview magazine's May issue, the "Birdman" actress recalls memories of the actor, saying, "He's so poetic."

At one point in the interview, Stone gets nostalgic after Keaton quotes touching remarks Garfield said of Stone in her July 2012 cover story of Vogue. "Andrew Garfield said, 'Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides,' " Keaton says to Stone.

Keaton continues recalling, " 'From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.' My God. I mean, what did you feel when you heard such a dream-come-true observation?"

Stone quickly replies to the question, praising her former beau, "He is such a poet. But that's the way he writes in general," so she says of Garfield. "So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis."

Keaton doesn't seem to believe Stone's remarks about Garfield, saying, "No way." However, the "Magic in the Moonlight" actress defends him, saying, "Yes, he does. He's so poetic." She later adds, "What a guy. He is a real Wordsworth."

When it comes to relationships or friendships, Stone shares that she is more attracted to "unique" individuals. "The more unique the better," so she says. "When you feel that a person is being true to how they want to look or what their face is, I think there's something about the acceptance of oneself that I can feel from people. That tends to be what I'm attracted to."
