Madden apparently tried to debunk divorce rumors by praising Richie on Instagram, saying, 'Best wife, mother and friend a father and his kids could ever ask for.'

AceShowbiz - Joel Madden seemingly hints that his marriage to his wife of five years Nicole Richie is on the right track. The Good Charlotte vocalist posted a sweet message to the actress in honor of Mother's Day via Instagram on Saturday, May 9.
"Happy Mothers Day to my best friend and partner in rhyme. Best wife, mother and friend a father and his kids could ever ask for," Madden wrote alongside a snap of him posing with Richie. The post was apparently also meant to shoot down reports that their marriage was heading for divorce.
Madden has seemingly worked very hard to tell public that the divorce rumors were completely a crap. Prior to the Mother's Day post, the 36-year-old singer shared another picture on the social media site. The snap featured Richie's feet wearing a pair of socks bearing an image of the couple's smiling face on each side. He captioned it, "Sock Game Strong."
The divorce rumors of the couple emerged last month. According to previous reports, they are "spending more time apart because all they do is fight when they're together." Earlier this month, Richie fueled speculation over marital problem as she was spotted grocery shopping in a Beverly Hills supermarket with new sister-in-law Cameron Diaz while not sporting her wedding ring.
Madden and Richie, who got married in 2010, share two children together, 7-year-old daughter named Harlow and 5-year-old son Sparrow.
