Sofia Vergara, who has received four Emmy nominations, has affirmed her status as a Hollywood star. The "Modern Family" actress received the 2,551st star on Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, May 7.

Dressed in a strapless gold dress paired with matching accessories, Sofia looked enchanting when attending her Walk of Fame ceremony. The 42-year-old told the crowd that she didn't believe she could get such honor. She showed her humble attitude in her speech despite her glamorous dress.

"It is unbelievable for me to be here today standing with all of you," she said in her speech. "I don't have anything to say but thank you. The first thanks I have to give is to 'Modern Family' ... if they had not invented Gloria Pritchett, I wouldn't be here. I owe everything that I've been able to do in the American market to this amazing character, and ... I'm always going to remember this in my life."

Many fellow celebrities complimented her. Reese Witherspoon said, "She is an incredibly hard worker. While we were filming 'Hot Pursuit' she was acting and producing the film, finishing her TV show and doing photo shoots on the weekends for her many different corporate endorsements. She's a true powerhouse."

"Modern Family" executive producer Steven Levitan added, "Make no mistake about it, she is genuinely funny and gifted."

The ceremony came one day before the release of comedy film "Hot Pursuit", which she executive produced. She attended the ceremony with his fiance, Joe Manganiello.

Sofia Vergara made her first appearance in Pepsi commercial at 17 years old. Her first lead role in a film was in "The Three Stooges" in 2011. Other films starring her include "Fading Gigolo", "Wild Card", and "Four Brothers".
