The real reason behind the split between Big Sean and Ariana Grande may have been revealed. Sources close to the former couple told TMZ that the rapper decided to end his relationship with his singer ex-girlfriend because she was "immature."

The rapper of "The Mighty Fall" broke up with Grande earlier this month after eight months of dating, initially reported because of conflicting schedules. "They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year," representatives for both of the artists said on Monday, April 15.

According to the news outlet, Sean and Grande had split before Justin Bieber joined her on stage and hugged her from behind during a surprise performance last week.

Sean and Grande's relationship started to crumble in February when the 21-year-old singer didn't show up to support Sean in the most important performance at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.

The insiders added that Sean traveled to meet Grande "10 times more" than she did for the rapper. It was also reported that Grande once begged Sean to spend tens of thousands of dollars to hire a private jet to see her. Sean who grew up in a poor family considered the order "a sign of immaturity."

Sean and the "Love Me Harder" singer insisted that they ended their relationship quietly and amicably. "They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," their reps said in a joint statement. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."
