AceShowbiz - Miranda Lambert will be featured on the soundtrack of Reese Witherspoon's "Hot Pursuit". The country sweetheart revealed in a new interview with Ryan Seacrest's "On Air" show that she was personally asked by the actress to create a song for the upcoming film.

"Reese texted me and told me about the movie and wanted me to write something or sing or both. I got inspired," she explained. "It was a bit of a 'Thelma and Louise' theme and that's totally up my alley. It is really so fun to be part of it."

Lambert added that all Witherspoon wanted for the song was it should have a "Southern and a Latin flavor." The 31-year-old songbird later enlisted her frequent collaborators Natalie Hemby and Nicolle Galyon to pen "Two of a Crime" which will be released on April 28, just a week before the movie which also stars Sofia Vergara hits U.S. theaters on May 8.

Before dropping the new song, Lambert will make an appearance at the 2015 ACM Awards this Sunday, April 19. The diva is nominated for multiple awards including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for last year's "Platinum".
