AceShowbiz - Ireland Baldwin checked herself into rehab facility last week to seek treatment for "emotional trauma." She opened up about her rehab treatment in a series of tweets.

"I checked myself into Soba for two weeks to just get away for a little bit. I'm not much a party cat but I am here deal with...some emotional trauma and getting the intensive therapy I needed in order to recover. Someday I'll feel ready to share my story...," so read her tweets. Ireland added in other tweets, "openly without feeling the way I do. Right now I just needed a breather. I needed a chance to work on myself and gather all the tools...I need to overcome everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I locked away in unreachable places."

Ireland is seeking treatment at SOBA Recovery Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Malibu, California, that specializes in psychological disorders and addiction. Her actor father Alec Baldwin is said to be "extremely protective" of his 19-year-old daughter and so will not make any public comments.

Meanwhile, a source close to Ireland has been quoted as telling Just Jared, "The establishment that Ireland checked into is where a lot of people in her family have gone to get sober." The source added, "She's known the people there for a long time and they're like family to her. She needed a safe place to stay and get away for awhile and now she's receiving the intensive therapy and treatment she needs."

Still according to the source, Ireland's recent break-up from rapper girlfriend Angel Haze has affected her emotionally. "The split really hurt Ireland. She's been going through depression and anxiety but now using this time to heal through all the pain," revealed the source.
