AceShowbiz - The much awaited wedding of Andy Murray and Kim Sears has been held. The couple, who began dating in 2005 and then got engaged last year, exchanged vows at Dunblane Cathedral in Dunblane, Scotland on Saturday, April 11.
The professional tennis player was seen wearing a formal kilt for the big day and he was all smiles when arriving at the venue with his brother Jamie Murray in tow. The groom waved to the awaiting crowd as he made his way into the 12th century cathedral.
Moments later, Murray was photographed exiting the church building with his bride Sears who looked stunning wearing Jenny Packham wedding gown that featured silk chiffon and hand beaded Swarovski crystals. The newlyweds walked hand-in-hand as they greeted fans and guests with wide smiles on their faces.
There weren't any Murray's fellow tennis stars spotted among the guests. It was not surprising though as the groom had previously stated, "There won't be any celebrities as such," adding, "[It will be] everyone who we're close to, people we've spent a lot of time with in the past, but also people we see ourselves spending time with in the future."
Prior to their weekend wedding, Murray and Sears were photographed on Friday, April 10 arriving at the cathedral for wedding rehearsals. The duo sported casual outfits for the rehearsal, which was also attended by his parents Judy and Will.
