Josh Groban talked about Celine Dion and her ailing husband Rene Angelil when appearing in a Wednesday, March 25 episode of "The Talk". During the interview, he addressed Angelil's battle with throat cancer and his wife's decision to resume her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. "If there's one thing that Rene loves just beneath the family, her, their personal life, it's her voice, her ability," Groban said. "It gives him life. For him to say to her, 'I want you to go out there and give that to the people,' that's typical them."

The 34-year-old is a good friend of the couple and he didn't think he would have made it in the entertainment industry if it weren't because of the couple. "Celine and Rene are such special people. I've been so fortunate to know them," Groban said. "They were one of the reasons I had a career in this business. They were two of the first people to give me a shot. Celine allowed me to sing with her on a Grammy stage when I was 17 years old." He went on sharing about the couple, "Everything she emotes when she sings, that's the person she is. Rene has always been very soft-spoken, but he commands so much respect in this industry."

Dion, 46, and Angelil, 73, have been married since 1994, after meeting 14 years prior. They have three sons together, 14-year-old Rene Charles, and 4-year-old twins, Eddy & Nelson. She discussed her husband's fight with cancer and her decision to be back on stage in an interview with PEOPLE on March 24, "I am scared of losing him, because it's bad." However, she added, "But I have to show myself, my husband and my kids that I'm strong and we're okay."

In other news, Josh Groban has responded to gay rumors in an interview with ETonline. "Honestly, if I were gay, I would have had no problem saying it from day one. ... People have speculated, have wanted to speculate, whatever, fine. I'm not gay, but if I were, I don't review it as a bad thing," so he said.
