The 'Bourne Legacy' actor says in court papers that Sonni Pacheco told his roommate several times that she married Renner only to obtain a green card and to 'improve her financial situation.'

Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco's custody battle for their daughter Ava has gotten uglier. In court papers filed by the actor last week, he accused his estranged wife of marrying him only to obtain a green card and to "improve her financial situation," as well as threatening him with private videos.
"I heard Sonni say at least five or six times when we were together at the Franklin [Avenue] house that Jeremy should be nice to her and not fight her on green card or money issues or else she would release intimate videos of him to TMZ," the documents stated, quoting Renner's roommate Kristoffer Winters.
"On approximately eight additional occasions at our Franklin home, Sonni told me that she did not believe in marriage and only wanted Jeremy to marry her so that she could become a United States citizen and avoid returning to Canada."
The Hawkeye of "The Avengers" also claimed when he was away working on his films or for other reasons, he would "regularly" ask to video chat with Ava but Pacheco "frequently refused to facilitate FaceTime or other types of video calls." He added, "Sonni did not always facilitate these video chats on a daily basis," so he had to "rely on Kristoffer for daily video contact with Ava."
Still, the "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" star didn't think "Sonni is a bad person or bad parent," but she "exercises bad judgment." Pointing out one example of her "bad judgment," the 44-year-old hunk said Pacheco once left their daughter at home alone for 15 minutes when she went out with her friends.
"It is also my understanding that upon learning Ava was home alone, Sonni remained out with her friends while [Winters] rushed home to Ava," the documents stated. "I was extremely disappointed with Sonni and distressed that this occurred...This event and Sonni's reaction to it was a significant turning point in our relationship."
Sonni Pacheco filed for divorce from Jeremy Renner last December and is seeking primary custody of their daughter. She's also requesting child support and legal fees from her estranged husband. Renner then responded by filing his own divorce papers in February, seeking joint custody of Ava and asking the court to terminate Pacheco's right to spousal support.
