The 73-year-old rock legend struck a pedestrian while driving down a California highway on Sunday, March 22 and the victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

AceShowbiz - David Crosby hit a jogger named Jose Jimenez while driving down a highway on Santa Ynez, California at 55 miles per hour on Sunday evening, March 22. The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

David's rep said in a statement, "David Crosby is obviously very upset that he accidentally hit anyone. And, based off of initial reports, he is relieved that the injuries to the gentleman were not life threatening. He wishes the jogger a very speedy recovery."

According to California Highway Patrol, Jose was jogging with his teen son when David's 2015 Black Tesla struck him and forced him to the ground. He suffered multiple fractures, abrasians and lacerations and he was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Investigators told California's KYET News that David was not impaired by alcohol or drugs. The rock legend reportedly was unable to see Jose because of sun glare. He stopped his vehicle to give Jose aid shortly after the accident and was cooperative with investigators.

A CHP spokeperson told E! News that Jose was the one who was on the wrong side of the road as California law required pedestrians to be walking or running against traffic outside residential or business zone. While police are still investigating the incident, they don't expect to be filing any charges against David.
