Neil Patrick Harris, Alec Baldwin, Jason Sudeikis Join Matt Damon in 'Downsizing'

The three actors will join Damon and Reese Witherspoon who previously was reported to be one of the cast in Alexander Payne-directed movie.

AceShowbiz - Three more actors are reported to have joined Alexander Payne's "Downsizing". Just one day after a report saying Reese Witherspoon would join Matt Damon in the movie emerged, TheWrap reported on Thursday, January 8 that Neil Patrick Harris, Alec Baldwin and Jason Sudeikis would be joining the cast.

"Downsizing" tells the story of a man in a not so distant future who decides to shrink himself as he is low on money. Damon plays the lead character and Witherspoon reportedly will play his wife. So far, there is no info regarding the other three stars' roles.

In addition to serving behind the lens, Payne writes the script alongside Jim Taylor. Production will start in early next year for a 2017 release date.

Harris is now busy preparing for his upcoming hosting gig at the Oscars which takes place next month. He was most recently seen in "Gone Girl", playing Rosamund Pike's obsessive ex-boyfriend. Baldwin, meanwhile, stars alongside Julianne Moore in "Still Alice" which is currently in theaters. Sudeikis was most recently seen in a comedy "Horrible Bosses 2" alongside Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day among others.
