Fans still have to wait a bit for "The Lego Batman Movie", but new info regarding the upcoming animated movie's plot has emerged. Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the director-writer duo for "The Lego Movie", teased the spin-off in an interview with MTV News at the National Board of Review Awards recently.

Catching up with the news site, Lord shared that the film would depict Batman's emotional journey and feature some action scenes. "No spoilers. But I will say I think the movie is really exciting because it's about 'Can Batman be happy?' " he said, before mimicking the Dark Knight, " 'Wah, I'm so rich and handsome, and women like me, and I've got a Maclaren. Something about my parents!' "

The Lego Batman first appeared in "The Lego Movie" which was released last July and was voiced by Will Arnett. He will reprise the role in the upcoming family-friendly film directed by Chris McKay. It is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters sometime in 2017.

The new interview emerged just a day after Miller and Lord shared some info about "The Lego Movie 2" which they said would take place four years after the events in the first installment. "Well I don't want to give you spoilers but we were really interested in what happens to that boy who's in the meta story in the first movie when he's four years older. When he's an adolescent how does that change his point of view?" Miller told Empire magazine.
