Eminem is being accused of featuring an illegal sample on his "Rap God". According to TMZ, Raymond Jones from rap group Hotstylz is suing the Detroit rapper, claiming that he used their 2007 single "Lookin Boy" featuring Yung Joc on his 2013 hit without their consent.

The 25-second sample starts at 2:16 in the music video of Em's track. Jones, who uses the name Raydio G when performing with Hotstylz, also names Em's record label as a defendant and is now seeking $8 million. A representative for Eminem has yet commented on the lawsuit.

Receiving positive reviews from music critics, "Rap God" peaked at No. 7 on Billboard Hot 100. It is included on Eminem's "MMLP2" album that debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 following its release in 2013.

The song additionally earned a spot in the 2015 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records in which Eminem is commended for the most words in a hit single, totaling 1,560 words in 6 minutes, 4 seconds.
