Miley Cyrus made an appearance at the prestigious Art Basel for a private performance at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach on Wednesday night, December 3. Donning a silver wig that matched her sparkly nipple pasties and thong-baring leotard, Cyrus told audience she knew they were fans of real art who probably disliked her music. "You thought [Art Basel] was a respected place where you could escape me," she said.

She went on talking about why this year was a tough one for her, especially after the death of her beloved dog Floyd. "This year has constantly challenged me, and that's why I started doing art," she added before singing a new song that she said she wrote after her friend's cat spoke to her in a dream.

After finishing the song, she said she didn't want to talk about death anymore. She kept the party going by having people in shark, penis and mushroom costumes join her onstage. "Usually I don't smoke weed and drink, well that's a lie ... usually I don't smoke weed and drink on show days, but I felt like it was fine in Miami," she told the crowd which included her new boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger.
