The producer is looking into the missing case of 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' script which allegedly contains a pivotal scene.

20th Century Fox TV, the producer of "American Horror Story", didn't take lightly a report suggesting a script for the current fourth season was stolen. "The theft and unauthorized distribution of our scripts is a very serious matter and we will take all appropriate steps necessary to vigorously protect our intellectual property," they said.

According to TMZ, the script went missing on set during a filming last week in New Orleans after one of the cast members left some pages unattended after reading them. One page was reportedly being shopped around, and it could ruin the element of surprise on the show if it leaks since it contains a pivotal scene that involves Naomi Grossman's Pepper the pinhead.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" premiered on October 8. The creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the stories from all the seasons were connected. Grossman's Pepper first appeared on Season 2 and returned on the fourth cycle along with Lily Rabe's Sister Mary Eunice. Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka are expected to visit the show this season.
