Brad Paisley revealed Carrie Underwood's baby gender at the 2014 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, November 5. During their opening monologue at the CMAs, Brad joked about Carrie's pregnancy, saying, "And we're pregnant!" to which she responded, "Brad, I don't remember you being there."
Brad then told his CMA co-host, "Carrie, you can't keep me out of this child's life," and begged her to tell him about her baby's gender. Carrie later pulled Brad aside and whispered in his ear. The "Country Boy" crooner then joked, "I know something you all don't know. Suck it, TMZ." When talking about Garth Brooks, Brad quipped, "We should name him Garth!" while pointing at Carrie's bump.
"What are you doing?! What is wrong with you?!" Carrie told Brad, pretending to be annoyed while the crowds applaused. "You've got to be kidding me," the "Blown Away" songstress added, "Well, you kept that secret for a whole two minutes." Brad then responded with a joke, "Hashtag, Brad blew it."
Carrie, who announced her pregnancy on September 1, recently revealed she's due in spring 2015 during an appearance on "The View". The bundle of joy will be Carrie's first child with her husband Mike Fisher.
