Actress Vinessa Shaw who plays reporter Kate McPherson on "Ray Donovan" is facing a legal problem. Shaw has been sued by two women who said that she hit them with her car in Los Angeles, TheWrap reports.

The women named Maridalia Chepi-Nolasco and Anastasia Gregorio Arce filed the lawsuit on October 3. According to the document, the alleged accident took place on November 6, 2013 at the crosswalk of Franklin Avenue and Wilton Place in Los Angeles. They allegedly crossed the street after they saw the green light for walk, but they were hit by Shaw.

"As a result, plaintiffs were knocked to the ground and sustained severe bodily injuries," it read. The pair now are seeking unspecified compensatory damages for wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, general damage loss of earning capacity and other damage.

A spokesperson for the law enforcement office said it was determined that no crime was committed. Shaw was not arrested following the incident.

Shaw made movie debut in 1981's "Home Sweet Home". Her other credits include "Hocus Pocus" with Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler, as well as Woody Allen's "Melinda and Melinda".
