Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson has finally broken his silence about his family's problems. In a video obtained by TMZ, he was asked if he was upset Mama June Shannon allowed her daughter Honey Boo Boo a.k.a Alana Thompson to be close to her child molester boyfriend, to which he replied, "A little bit."

Sugar Bear then asked about rumors of Mama June cheating on him with Mark McDaniel. "I don't know, I didn't read anything," he responded. When asked about his opinion on the cancelation of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo", the family patriach replied, "Yeah I'm upset that it's canceled."

On Monday, October 27, TLC production crew showed up at Mama June's house in McIntyre, Georgia. In some photos obtained by the site, they were seen clearing the house of all filming equipment following the cancellation of the series.

Amidst allegations that Mama June is seeing the man who molested her eldest daughter, Anna Cardwell, Radar Online claimed that Child Protective Services in Georgia "have formally opened an investigation to determine if any crimes have been committed involving [Mama June's] three minor children."

A source told the site, "Social workers will be making formal contact with all of June's children, and any other minors that might have come into contact with Mark McDaniel. This is being taken very, very seriously by the department."

According to an update from the site, Mama June has now hired a lawyer following report that Child Protective Services launched an investigation against her boyfriend. An insider said, "June thought it was necessary to hire a lawyer to help her during this very difficult time. She has made it known to the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services that she will cooperate with the investigation. The lawyer was only brought on board to help deal with the navigating through the system."
