Lady Antebellum has released "Freestyle" as the latest single off their new album "747". Hitting Vevo on Thursday, October 9, the track was co-penned by the trio along with award-winning writer Shane McAnally.
The track, which serves as the follow-up to the smashing hit "Bartender", finds Lady A's Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood showing off their funkier side. "Hey, there ain't nothing wrong/ Just making it up as we go along," they sing the chorus.
"If I had to name one song on the entire record that is just so fun and so different that it actually scares me, it would be 'Freestyle'," Kelley has said of the single. "The song conjurs up all of these vivid images - tons of pop culture - and the best part is it can be taken so many different ways. We just wanted to put a song out there about living life and having a little fun with an 'anything goes' type mentality."
"747" marks the group's sixth studio effort. Released on September 30, the LP has just landed at No. 2 on Billboard 200 with 74,000 copies sold.
