'Magic Mike XXL' Adds Michael Strahan, Elizabeth Banks, Danny Glover

After being extended an invitation a couple of times by Channing Tatum, Strahan confirmed that he would indeed appear in the stripper movie.

AceShowbiz - More names are revealed to have joined "Magic Mike" sequel including Michael Strahan who would make his feature film debut. Comedic actors Elizabeth Banks and Donald Glover are also in the line-up but their roles are still unknown.

Strahan revealed his involvement on Monday, September 29 during "Live with Kelly and Michael". He said, "I'm getting ready to do something that's making me nervous. I'm about to do something that started as a joke on the show." Channing Tatum offered him a part in the movie when guest-starring on his show. Strahan told co-host Kelly Ripa that he would indeed be wearing very little in the movie. "It's kind of a thong thing," he revealed.

"Magic Mike XXL" is currently filming in Savannah, Georgia. Tatum was seen on the set wearing a gray shirt with a logo that read Mike Lane Designs and lifting heavy furniture. Matthew Bomer and Joe Manganiello were also spotted arriving on the set.

Tatum wrote the script with Gregory Jacob on director's seat. The pic is slated for July 1, 2015 release. After being kept under the wrap, the official plot was released.

"Magic Mike XXL" finds the remaining Kings of Tampa ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
