The popular HBO show spawns another spoof in which Mara and Page are too short to be credible detectives.

Kate Mara and Ellen Page are "True Detective", in tiny versions. The actresses spoof the hit HBO series in a Funny or Die sketch, playing a pair of detectives who are not tall enough to reach high places, literally.
Standing at 5'2" and 5'1" respectively, Mara and Page find it hard to look at the evidence above the shelf. They are also buried behind their taller co-workers when briefed by the chief. During the questioning, the interrogator says they have solved no case. Mara fires up and says he's lucky her hand's too short to reach him.
This is not the first time that "True Detective" gets a spoof. Seth Rogen and Patton Oswalt paired up for a spin, so did Joel McHale and Jim Rash.
The spoof was released following the announcement that Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell are leading the second season. Rachel McAdams is rumored to star as the other lead. "Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder," the official description said.
