The 'Chuck' alum will take the lead role as an ambitious New Yorker whose life is turned upside down by sudden musical hallucinations.

AceShowbiz - Zachary Levi may once again show his vocal chops in his upcoming acting gig. The actor is teaming up with Eva Longoria to executive produce a musical comedy titled "Tuned" for NBC. He may also star in the half-hour comedy series project.

According to Deadline, the former "Chuck" star will take the lead role of an ambitious New Yorker whose life is turned upside down "by sudden musical hallucinations. While these vivid hallucinations threaten to completely derail his enviable life, he'll eventually realize that they might lead him on a more fulfilling journey."

If NBC decides to move on with the musical comedy, it will mark Levi's return to the network which aired his previous show, action comedy "Chuck", from 2007 until 2012.

Levi, who starred as Toby Seville in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" and as Fandral in "Thor: The Dark World", has proven his singing prowess in Disney's animated movie "Tangled" in which he voiced the male lead. He sings the movie's Oscar-nominated song "I See the Light" with Mandy Moore. The 33-year-old recently also took a part in Broadway musical "First Date".
