A man named Robert Kobe died on Tuesday, August 19 following an altercation with a teen at a Hank Williams Jr. concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Independence Township, Michigan, on Sunday, August 17. The 55-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after the 15-year-old boy pushed him during the show, causing him to hit his head.

The teen, who was at the concert with his father, attempted to flee the scene but witnesses and bystanders held him until police arrived. He was detained at the Oakland County's Children's Village juvenile detention facility and was released on Monday into the custody of his parents.

Kobe, meanwhile, was rushed to McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, where he was later pronounced dead. It's still unclear if alcohol was involved in any way. Kobe's body is scheduled for autopsy.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the victim's son Cory Kobe revealed that his dad and the teen knew each other. He also said that his father might be the one who provoked the incident. "I want to make sure that this young man gets fair treatment," the 29-year-old man explained. "There are a lot of indications that there was no malicious intent."

Williams Jr.'s concert reportedly continued as planned despite the incident. The singer hasn't commented on the news.
