Morgan has undergone surgery on his leg, one of the many broken bones he sustained from the fatal car accident that killed James McNair.

AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan's representative gave update on the condition of the actor. He remains hospitalized, but is "more responsive." He suffers numerous broken bones in the fatal 6-car accident on early Saturday morning, June 7 near Cranbury Township, New Jersey.

"While Tracy remains in critical condition, he has been more responsive today, which is an incredibly encouraging sign," his rep said. "He sustained a number of injuries including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. He had surgery earlier today on his leg."

"We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks," the publicist added. "His family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."

One man died and three others were critically injured in the crash when a truck driver, Kevin Roper, was reportedly dozing and unable "to observe slow moving traffic ahead of him." In an attempt to avoid accident, he swerved and hit the back of Morgan's Mercedes limousine bus.

The limo was overturned, and the accident caused a chain-reaction crash that involved a second tractor-trailer, an SUV, and two other cars. 62-year-old James McNair of Peekskill, N.Y. was killed. Fellow comedians Harris Stanton and Ardie Fuqua were among the passengers in the limo.

Prayers and condolences from Hollywood celebrities have since flooded Twitter. Jon Favreau, Chloe Moretz, Russell Simmons, George Lopez, Questlove, Nicki Minaj, Chris Rock, and Andy Cohen were among those who sent prayers to the victims.

Roper has since been arrested and was being held on $50,000 bail. He was charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto.
