Fabolous experienced a "shocking" car accident on Wednesday morning, May 21 on a highway in New York. The rapper, who thankfully walked away only with some minor injuries, took to Instagram to share the story with his fans, explaining that it was actually his first car accident.

"Good Morning IG...I just survived a car accident on the Van Wyck in Queens, NY," he wrote. "I wanna Thank God for not only letting me walk away with a few bumps & bruises but also for letting my driver Ruben & the two truck drivers involved walk away alive also."

"This was my 1st time being in a car accident. It's a very shocking experience & may change my outlook on how fast things can happen & you're put into a life threatening situation. Live, Love, & Celebrate Life. #Blessed," he added. A photo which he uploaded on the photo-sharing site shows a black Cadillac Escalade crashing into what appears to be a semi-trailer truck.

Earlier this week, Fabolous released "Who Do You Love" remix with Trey Songz. The Brooklyn-born star is expected to perform at La Marina in Inwood on Saturday, but it is unclear whether the accident will affect the schedule.
