The Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos game drew an average 111.5 million viewers, beating the 2012 game to maintain its reign as the most-watched television show in U.S. history.

Super Bowl has maintained its title as the most-watched television show in U.S. history. The sports program once again outperformed itself, with this year's telecast delivering an average 111.5 million viewers.
The February 2 game, which saw the Seattle Seahawks defeating the Denver Broncos 43-8, surpassed last year's Super Bowl which averaged 108.4 million viewers as well as the 2012 telecast which previously held the record with an average 111.3 million viewers.
The halftime show headlined by Bruno Mars also set a new record, attracting 115.3 million viewers against the 110.8 million viewers which watched last year's halftime show featuring Beyonce Knowles. It also topped 2012's halftime show delivered by Madonna which posted 114.0 million viewers.
Post-Super Bowl shows on FOX enjoyed the boost from the game. A new episode of "New Girl" featuring Prince as a guest star lured in 25.8 million viewers, while a new episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" which followed after delivered 14.8 million viewers. Both episodes averaged 20.8 million viewers.
"Elementary", which aired after Super Bowl XLVII on CBS last year, posted 20.9 million viewers. "Undercover Boss" still holds the record for the most-watched post-Super Bowl program with 38.7 million viewers in 2010.
