Dylan Farrow slams Hollywood for glorifying the man who had sexually abused her own kid daughter.

AceShowbiz - Dylan Farrow, daughter of actress Mia Farrow, was disgusted when Woody Allen received the Lifetime Achievement awards from the recent Golden Globes and decided to tell the world what she experienced with the director when she was a kid. In an open letter to New York Times, Dylan recounted how Woody had sexually molested her when she was only 7.
Dylan was adopted by Woody when Mia had 12-year relationship with him. She has stated numerous times before that she was a victim of his sexual abuse but he constantly denied the allegations and was never prosecuted. "...because countless people on all sides have written passionately about these events, but we haven't fully heard from the young woman who was at the heart of them," columnist Nicholas Kristof said in the prelude.
Dylan began her letter with a question. "What's your favorite Woody Allen movie?" she asked. "Before you answer, you should know: when I was seven years old, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dim, closet-like attic on the second floor of our house." She went on detailing how Woody conducted the immoral acts without her mother knowing.
"For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn't like. I didn't like how often he would take me away from my mom, siblings and friends to be alone with him," she said before going into further details. "I didn't like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. I didn't like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out."
Dylan said she became traumatized by the events that she would often lock herself up in the bathroom and hid but he always found her. "I thought this was how fathers doted on their daughters. But what he did to me in the attic felt different," she said. Dylan could not take it anymore and told her mother, a decision which triggered the split between her parents and bigger complications.
"I didn't know that I would be made to recount my story over and over again, to doctor after doctor, pushed to see if I'd admit I was lying as part of a legal battle I couldn't possibly understand," Dylan recalled, adding even her mother was questioning the truth at one point. She developed eating disorder and cut herself, going into panic every time Woody's name popped up in the media.
She then sent a message to Hollywood, What if it had been your child, Cate Blanchett? Louis C.K.? Alec Baldwin? What if it had been you, Emma Stone? Or you, Scarlett Johansson? You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?" Keaton had a brief relationship with Woody between 1970 and 1971.
