The very first look at Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi film "Interstellar" has arrived in a bootlegged video posted on Instagram. Twelve seconds long, the clip gives a look at Matthew McConaughey's character and shows two people holding hands as a rocket is launched into the sky.

Nolan's first directorial movie since "The Dark Knight" trilogy ended, it chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

The film is slated to make its way out in theaters across the country on November 7, 2014. It is supported by such A-listers as Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow and David Oyelowo.

The first official trailer for the star-studded movie is expected to be released on December 13 in front of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug". Zach Letts who posted the snippet describes the trailer, "It's about 1 min and 43 secs long, with narration done by Matthews character. Clip from old space missions and launches are playing while he describes the worlds need for exploration."
