'Warcraft' Gets Delayed, Avoids Competition With 'Star Wars Episode 7'

The video game adaptation to be directed by Duncan Jones leaves the December 18, 2015 date to occupy a new slot in March 2016.

AceShowbiz - Legendary Pictures shifts "Warcraft" release date. The Duncan Jones-directed video game adaptation was originally slated to face off "Star Wars Episode 7" on December 18, 2015, but now it's moved back three months to March 11, 2016.

The studio also sets a date for "Cyber", led by Chris Hemsworth, and the long-delayed "Seventh Son" starring Ben Barnes and Julianne Moore. The former is scheduled for January 16, 2015 and the latter is due a month later on February 6.

Elsewhere, Universal books January 23, 2015 for Jennifer Lopez starrer "The Boy Next Door" and April 22, 2016 for "The Mummy" reboot. Warner Bros., meanwhile, plans to get "This Is Where I Leave You", a Tina Fey and Jason Bateman pairing, ready for a September 12, 2014 release.
