Guitarist Carlos Santana, who was involved in a car accident in Las Vegas on Friday, September 13, reportedly fell asleep when he was behind the wheel of his Fisker Karma. According to a TMZ report, the Grammy-winning musician's car slammed into two parked cars before coming to a halt.

A picture of Santana's car which was obtained by the celebrity news site shows that the car had major damage to the bumper. Its air bags were deployed. The car reportedly had to be towed away.

The police downplayed the accident, saying that Santana was involved in a "fender bender." Las Vegas Police's spokesperson Lt. Ken Romane told Las Vegas Review Journal on Saturday, "He hit a parked car, it was a minor accident, is all." At that time, he was driving alone and thankfully no one suffered from injuries. The police spokesperson also said that Santana was not under influence.

The 66-year-old musician had several shows last week. According to his concert schedule, he performed at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay on Thursday night and had another show on Saturday night. He did not have schedule on the day of the accident.
