Briana Evigan of 2008's "Step Up 2: The Streets" is tapped to return for the upcoming "Step Up 5" along with Ryan Guzman from last year's "Step Up Revolution". They will reprise their roles as Andie and Sean respectively.

Other "Step Up" actors confirmed to return to the franchise are Alyson Stoner and Adam G. Sevani who played Camille and Moose respectively in 2010's "Step Up 3-D", the third installment of the series. Misha Gabriel, the Eddy of "Step Up Revolution", and Stephen Boss a.k.a. 'tWitch', the Jason of the last two previous films, will reprise their respective roles as well.

Mari Koda (Jenny Kido), Chris Scott (Hair), Luis Rosado (Monster), Chadd Smith (Vladd or Robot Guy), and Martin & Facundo Lombard (The Santiago Twins) will be back in the supporting roles along with series dancers Marc Iniss a.k.a. "Marvelous", Nolan Padilla, Phillip Chbeeb, Bianca Brewton, Tony Bellissimo, Josue Figueroa a.k.a. "Beastmode", and Brandy Lamkim.

Channing Tatum who led the first two movies is not mentioned in the list despite rumor, but a fresh face in the form of Izabella Miko ("Coyote Ugly", "Save the Last Dance 2", "Clash of the Titans") is brought into the lineup. She will play the host of a dance contest to find the best crew who will be awarded a three-year contract to perform in Vegas.

The upcoming movie will be directed by music video director and choreographer Trish Sie. The script is penned by John Swetnam with Adam Shankman as one of the producers.
