Harry Styles has reacted to Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards that seemed to diss him. The One Direction member said, "It's alright, she likes a joke. I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it's all good."

Speaking to Extra at the premiere of their documentary "One Direction: This Is Us" one day after the VMAs, Harry also explained his group photo with his ex-girlfriend at the afterparty. "Yeah, I went for a drink with Ed [Sheeran] and some friends. It was good," he said.

Harry made a comment about Miley Cyrus' racy stage act as well. He joked, "I thought it was vanilla. I would feel comfortable watching it with my grandma." He also said, "It was very reserved. I think she's quite shy and it's about time she came out of her shell a bit."

The other boys played along with Liam Payne calling it "timid." Niall Horan chimed in, "I don't know why everyone's talking about it." Louis Tomlinson voiced a similar thought, "We were shocked by how much coverage there was. I think she was shocked."

Taylor caused a buzz during the live broadcast of the VMAs when she was caught on camera mouthing what appeared to be "shut the f**k up" when 1D was on the stage presenting an award. She later said when collecting her Best Female Video win, "I also want to thank the person who inspired this song because he knows exactly who he is, because now I've got one of these."

While Harry seemed to make light of her shout-out, his bandmates responded it in the most charmingly sarcastic way possible with Liam saying, "When she said those things about Niall, we were very, very pissed off. Hashtag get over it." He then quipped, "I was going to do a Kanye! It's the best video of all time!"

In a more serious note, Liam said, "I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself!"
