AceShowbiz - Dr. Luke has reportedly entered talks to join the upcoming season of "American Idol". After Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez were confirmed to return to the show, the record producer is now named a candidate to fill the third spot in the judge line-up.
According to Us Magazine, Dr. Luke whose real name is Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald is in the running for the gig as negotiations with will.i.am were stalled. Rumor has it, the Black Eyed Peas member and the show's producers cannot agree over money.
Dr. Luke is a Grammy Award-nominated record producer who is behind commercially successful records such as Pink's "Who Knew", Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" and Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl". The 39-year-old songwriter also produced Kelly Clarkson's 2004 hit single "Since U Been Gone".
FOX entertainment chief Kevin Reilly confirmed early this month that Urban would be back for his second season of "Idol". Meanwhile, Lopez's boyfriend Casper Smart recently spilled the beans that the Latin singer signed up to return to the FOX show after a year hiatus.
