The soon-to-be mom says she is troubled that many people use Twitter to spread 'negativity' and send 'threats.'

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Love Hewitt gave up Twitter. She becomes the latest celebrity who gave up Twitter, on the heels of Alec Baldwin's resignation from the social media after he went ballistic on a reporter who accused his wife of tweeting at James Gandolfini's funeral.

"Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter as well as threats to there (sic) own well being," she explains her dismay, "I'm sad to say twitter is No longer for me. I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed."

The "Ghost Whisperer" actress continues, "Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes," before concluding in her last tweet, "To those of you who made it a joy, thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The 34-year-old beauty is currently expecting her first child with actor Brian Hallisay, also 34, whom she was engaged to after announcing her pregnancy. He reportedly proposed to his baby mama in late May while they were vacationing in Europe.

The couple first shared screen on NBC's short-lived series "Love Bites" and later reunited on Lifetime's show "The Client List". She was previously engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall, whom she met when he guested on "Ghost Whisperer". After they split, she dated her co-star Jamie Kennedy.
