Jennifer Carpenter, lead actress on the TV drama series "Dexter", had already ended her marriage with her co-star Michael C. Hall when she began dating The Avett Brothers' guitarist Seth Avett back in 2011. Problem was, Avett was reportedly still very much married to his wife Susan, whom he wed back in 2008, at the time he got into his relationship with Carpenter.
Now Avett has just revealed, via a message posted on his band's site, that he and his wife are ending their marriage. He said, "We have been separated for some time," but it wasn't clear if the split had already happened before Avett began seeing Carpenter or if it was only recently that they decided to part ways, which would technically mean the two lovers were having an affair.
This was what one insider said to RadarOnline, "Shortly after Jennifer's split with Michael C. Hall, she began seeing Seth. She would fly all over to his concerts to be with him. No one saw this affair coming from those closest to Seth, but he finally left his wife last winter to be with Jennifer," which would mean Avett formally ended his marriage only after he began seeing Carpenter.
The ugly rumors are now branding Carpenter as a home wrecker, with one fan even calling Avett "a dog" who "deserves nothing. Not even his fans." Neither Carpenter nor Avers is expected to speak up anytime soon about the rumors.
