Paris Hilton Reveals Why She Takes Part in 'The Bling Ring'
Movie

The star of reality show 'The Simple Life' supports Sofia Coppola's effort to show 'how serious' the real-life burglaries were through the film.

During her visit to the L.A. premiere of "The Bling Ring" on June 4, Paris Hilton opened up about her involvement in the film from director Sofia Coppola. The reality TV star and socialite had her reason why she agreed to make a cameo appearance in it as well as let Sofia shoot on-location in her real house for some of the stealing scenes.

"It was very invasive what they did to me," said 32-year-old Paris, who wore a lovely pink dress for the event, to Access Hollywood. "I think it's really important that Sofia actually showed what happened and how serious this was and how serious the burglaries [were that] they did to everybody."

In a different interview on the red carpet, Paris said that Sofia told her "so many things" she didn't know before. "I didn't know they tried to take my dog. I didn't know they were selling my things on Venice Boardwalk," she said.

"It's pretty bizarre. They were so obsessed that they just wanted to steal our lives. It's a scary world we're growing up in now."

Paris herself was not the only real-life victim. Among those whose homes were raided by the notorious group of Calabasas teens were Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom and Audrina Patridge.

"The Bling Ring" stars Katie Chang and Emma Watson. It is slated for limited release on June 14 in the United States.
