Canadian pop superstars, Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen, are both in the running in two major categories in the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards set to take place on June 16 in Toronto. Bieber and Jepsen, with two nominations apiece, join the nominee list led by pop rock band Marianas Trench and rap superstar Drake.

Bieber's "As Long as You Love Me" and Jepsen's "This Kiss" are competing in the best Canadian international video of the year category against Avril Lavigne's "Here's to Never Growing Up", Tegan and Sara's "Closer", and Walk off the Earth's "Red Hands". Similarly, they are both get the nod for Fave Artist/Group award along with Deadmau5, and nomination leaders Drake and Marianas Trench.

Meanwhile, Drake bags five nominations, including video of the year and best hip-hop video for "Started from the Bottom".

South Korean viral video sensation PSY will co-host the event and will also perform during the awarding ceremonies. He also earns a couple of nominations for Your Fave international artist/group and for video of the year artist for his monster global hit "Gangnam Style". Other international artists getting 2 nods apiece as well are Demi Lovato, One Direction, Pink, and Taylor Swift.
