AceShowbiz - Both Anne Hathaway and Samuel L. Jackson have movies coming out this Christmas Day and they chose to promote them together with a Funny or Die video. Hathaway and Jackson argued which of their non-festive themed movies, "Les Miserables" and "Django Unchained" respectively, is more sad.
Hathaway began with the definition of her movie title, which is "The Miserable [People]". She also pointed out that her character Fantine got her hair cut short and lost her child. People got beaten in her movie and they lose their depressing jobs at factories as well. "The star of your movie had his own sitcom on The WB," she told Jackson.
Jackson argued that his movie is about slavery and that he has not even a single strand of hair since 2000 movie "Unbreakable". He said, "You try being a black man in the south in the 1800s. I bet you couldn't handle being a black man in the south right now!" As for violence, Jackson said people in his movie got beaten to death, heads blown off and ripped apart by dogs.
As the argument escalated, Hathaway smashed the ginger bread house Jackson was making. "You're making a slavery house. I thought we were making ginger bread house. I would have made a factory, I would have made a wh**e town," Hathaway said.
Full of expletives, the "Sad-Off" skit was directed by Jackson's daughter Zoe.
