The Stewie Griffin of 'Family Guy' jokingly says of the minor microphone mishap, 'This is what happens when you don't come to rehearsal.'

Seth MacFarlane couldn't help making fun of himself after he realized that he used a wrong microphone at 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards. "This is what happens when you don't come to rehearsal," he said to loud laughs from the crowd.
He took the stage at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 23 to present the winner of Outstanding Host in a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. He realized he stood in front of a wrong mic when his voice could hardly be heard.
"Oh, the mic's over there!" Seth said laughing before walking to the other side of the stage where another mic he was supposed to use stood. "That's gonna be on YouTube," the "FlashForward" actor exclaimed about the microphone gaffe.
On Twitter, Seth once again poked fun at himself as tweeting, "Oh, THERE'S the f****ing mike." He then uploaded a picture of baby Stewie Griffin, the character he voiced in "Family Guy", making a speech on a podium to refer to the Sunday night incident.
Seth wore a white tuxedo that night. He presented the best reality TV host to Tom Bergeron from "Dancing with the Stars".
