The '30 Rock' star participates in a stunt set up by Jimmy Kimmel, lying on the stage while Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere are presenting the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama.

AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan caused a frenzy on Twitterverse during the live telecast of 2012 Primetime Emmy. The comedian was passing out after being called to join host Jimmy Kimmel on stage of the Sunday, September 23 ceremony.

It was actually a prank pulled by none other than Kimmel to attract more viewers to watch the show. "Just lie there for about 10 minutes or so. And when people tune in they will see this on the stage," the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host told Morgan, who obediently followed the instruction.

Kimmel asked everyone to spread what happened to Morgan via Facebook and Twitter. The late-night host himself tweeted, "Oh my God - Tracy Morgan just passed out onstage at the Emmys - turn ABC on NOW!"

The Tracy Jordan of NBC's "30 Rock" still lied across the stage on his back when Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere showed up to present the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama, which was won by Maggie Smith of "Downton Abbey". When he was finally dragged off the stage, he hilariously shouted, "Tell Kerry Washington I'm all right!"
