Dave Mustaine comes under fire due to his statement that claimed President Barack Obama was the mastermind behind the mass shooting in an Aurora theater last July. The Megadeth singer is slammed by one of the victims of "The Dark Knight Rises" massacre.

"Some people think the President is a good scapegoat but he didn't shoot me," Carli Richards tells TMZ. "It's obviously kind of absurd and people who make up conspiracies just want attention." She's one of the people who got multiple gunshot wounds in the tragic incident.

"Everybody is emotional at this time and needs to blame somebody I guess. I don't think they realize the consequences of not being responsible for your own actions and James Holmes needs to be held accountable for his, to whatever way the justice system deems fit," she continues.

Mustaine caused a buzz on the web when he accused Obama of staging Aurora shooting. "He's trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the 'Fast And Furious' thing down at the border; Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there," the rocker told the crowd in the band's concert in Singapore.

The shooting happened inside the Century 16 Theater at the Aurora Town Center Mall, killing 12 moviegoers and injuring more than 50 others. The gunman, Holmes, was slapped with 24 murder charges, 116 counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of explosives.
