Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson's father Joe was busted for Driving Under the Influence on Tuesday, August 7. According to TMZ's sources, the 54-year-old was arrested on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles at 10 P.M.
Upon pulling Joe over, the LAPD cops suspected that he was intoxicated. They took him in for custody with his hands handcuffed. Joe was booked and spent a night in jail. He was released the next day at 9:41 without bail.
Although it's almost a week old, the case has not been sent over to prosecutors in the L.A. City Attorney's Office yet, TMZ reported. For having a clean record, Joe is not likely to get a jail time if criminal charges are filed. However, he could be fined.
