Olivier Martinez has yet to confirm rumors about his engagement to Halle Berry, but he has received a congratulatory message from an ex-girlfriend. Kylie Minogue, who dated the French actor for five years before they broke up in 2007, has taken to Twitter on Wednesday, January 11 to say, "Congrats to Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry!!"
Words that Olivier has popped the question to Halle have made rounds for a little more than a week. The rumors were sparked by a snapshot of the "New Year's Eve" actress rocking a golden ring with a large emerald gemstone as center piece when she and her "Dark Tide" co-star stepped out for romantic lunch in Beverly Hills on December 29.
Earlier on Wednesday, a representative for jewelry designer Gurhan came out with a confirmation that the sparkler is indeed an engagement ring. Described as "one-of-a-kind", Olivier's token of commitment to Halle is said to be a diamond-and-emerald ring.
After two failed marriages, Halle has previously stated that she would never tie the knot again. On the reason why she now changed her mind, sources told Us Weekly that the actress "trusts Olivier" because "he makes her feel safe. He's a keeper!" A so-called friend told Radar Online that the pair will get married this October.
