AceShowbiz - As it turns out, the big sparkler on Halle Berry's finger is indeed an engagement ring from boyfriend Olivier Martinez. The actress who once said that she would never get married again after two failed ones, has reportedly accepted his proposal over the holidays.
Neither Berry nor Martinez have spoken out about the engagement but a representative for jewelry designer Gurhan confirmed that the bling was presented to her as his token of commitment. It's a diamond-and-emerald ring which Gurhan described as "one-of-a-kind". The actress was already spotted with the ring before New Year's Eve.
Sources told Us magazine why Berry, who split from her daughter's father Gabriel Aubry in 2010, has a change of mind after meeting Martinez. She "had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He's a keeper!" A so-called friend told Radar Online that they will get married this October.
Berry was previously married to baseball player David Justice and later Eric Benet. Martinez was never married but he was in a long relationship with Kylie Minogue. Berry and Martinez met while working on the film "Dark Tide" and went public in 2010.
