Another new comedy series will stay on the primetime line-up for at least one season. After "New Girl", "Whitney" and "Up All Night", "2 Broke Girls" has been picked up for a full TV season by CBS on Wednesday, October 5.

Starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as two waitresses with different backgrounds who strike a friendship, "2 Broke Girls" is co-created by stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings and "Sex and the City" executive producer Michael Patrick King. It debuted to 19.4 million viewers and drew 11.4 million people the next week.

"Whitney", which is also created by Cummings and has her in starring role, was picked up earlier by NBC, along with "Up All Night" which pairs up Christina Applegate and Will Arnett. Additionally, "New Girl" was given a vote of confidence by FOX after it garnered 10 million viewers on its premiere and maintained around 92|percent| of them in the second week.

Another brand new comedy from NBC "Free Agents", meanwhile, is still up in the air after it debuted to soft rating. In an attempt to save his show, Hank Azaria has taken to his Twitter to urge people to watch it.

"Okay, it's do or die time for my show Free Agents -- we need eyeballs tonight at 8:30 on NBC!! Watch tonight or we may go away," the actor recently tweeted. "Well, help save the show!! It's smart and funny and on NBC Wednesdays at 8:30!! Free Agents, that is," he wrote in another tweet before adding, "Hey kids, please watch Free Agents this Wednesday at 8:30. I fear it may be your last chance!!"
