Meryl Streep can now refer to herself as a mother-in-law. Mamie Gummer, the oldest daughter of the actress playing Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady", said her "I do" to actor fiance Benjamin Walker before 150 guests last Saturday, July 16 at her family estate in Connecticut.
The Washington Post reported that the 27-year-old, who stars in ABC's "Off the Map", wore her grandmother's wedding gown for the lake-side ceremony. Among the guests helping to celebrate her nuptials were her "Evening" co-star Claire Danes and other famous friends, such as Tracey Ullman and Laura Linney.
Mamie met "Flags of Our Fathers" actor Ben while performing in the Broadway revival of "Dangerous Liaisons" in April 2008. They got engaged in October 2009 after he proposed to her with a custom-made ring. She told PEOPLE at the time, "He was the Keanu to my Uma. We were kind of pals first. It was a drawn-out thing."
