Steve Carell's Last 'Office' Episode Boosts NBC's Ratings

The April 28 episode of the sitcom drew over 8 million viewers and was up 24 percent in the 18-49 demographic, but still cannot beat ESPN's NFL Draft.

AceShowbiz - More than 8 millions viewers tuned in for "The Office" on Thursday, April 28 when Steve Carell made his last appearance as the series' regular. In the 18-49 demographic, the show averaged a preliminary 2.5 rating or up 24|percent| from last week's episode.

On the night when ESPN aired NFL Draft coverage, Fox still garnered the most viewers with its "American Idol". The reality show drew 19 million viewers with 4.2 in 18-49 demo. It, however, dropped 5|percent| from last week for a 5.5.

Meanwhile, NFL Draft was behind "Idol" with more than 6 million viewers or averaged a 4.4. According to Nielsen's fast national overnight ratings, it was down 17|percent| from the 5.3 it notched during last year's first round coverage.

CBS was tied in with NBC for averaged 2.5 rating in 18-49 demo. Its "The Big Bang Theory" drew 10.4 million viewers.
