The first annual Comedy Awards hailed one of the best animations in 2010. "Toy Story 3", which was named Best Animated Feature Film of the Year at this year's Academy Awards, won over "Despicable Me", "Megamind" and "Shrek Forever After" as Animated Comedy Film at the Saturday, March 26 ceremony.

"The Other Guys", which features Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as partnered NYPD detectives, won big as well, snatching Comedy Film award which was vied by "Cyrus" and "Easy A" among others. "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Hot Tub Time Machine" also raked one prize each, for Comedy Screenplay and Comedy Director Film respectively.

Tina Fey and Zach Galifianakis were among the stars honored at the inaugural prize-giving show. The former was dubbed best Comedy Actress Film for playing Steve Carell's wife in "Date Night", while the latter won Comedy Actor Film for his performance in "Dinner for Schmucks" which also features Carell.

The first time Comedy Awards will air on Sunday, April 10 at 9 P.M. ET on Comedy Central, Spike TV, CMT, Logo, TV Land, VH1 and Nick at Nite. Beside handing out prizes for comedy TV shows and movies, the event also presented Eddie Murphy with Career Icon Award and David Letterman with Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence.
