"J. Edgar" has kicked off principal photography in Los Angeles this week under the direction of Clint Eastwood. Now the first look at Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover has been obtained in form of set pictures.

DiCaprio donned a white shirt topped with a tie and a black vest when pictured in front of a house on Tuesday, February 8. Filming another scene, he wore a more formal outfit completed with a cap and rode a bicycle down the street near the Hoover family home.

Playing the controversial FBI director, the "Revolutionary Road" actor will star opposite Armie Hammer who plays Hoover's assistant and rumored secret lover Clyde Tolson. Hammer recently dished that he will have a lot of kissing scenes with DiCaprio, saying "It's not a kissing scene - it's a ton of kissing scenes." He added, "[Leo is] a talented actor. I'm not nervous or afraid of it being awkward. The script is great. The scenes are in there for a reason. I'm really excited."

Naomi Watts has signed up to portray Helen Gandy, a loyal secretary of Hoover, while Ed Westwick is cast for the role of Agent Smith, a clean-cut operative hired by Hoover to write his biography. Judi Dench is additionally supporting the cast ensemble as Hoover's mother, Josh Lucas will tackle the role of famed pilot Charles Lindbergh, and Ken Howard will be seen as U.S. attorney General Harlan F. Stone.

Dustin Lance Black writes the script for the biopic which is set up at Warner Bros. Pictures. No release date is announced for the film yet.
